Rommel I: Memories

My warmest greetings before!

Jürgensen asked me at the final celebration of winter's semester 2019/20 for a short (corps student) review of my life. In view of the fact that I intend to live to be 140 years old and that this will probably also be the case -
thank HEAVENS - in the context of our upcoming evolutionary development from sapiens sapiens to sapiens superior, this time is perhaps a little premature. So I will simply write what comes out of my pen without claiming to be complete. Have fun.

Family and school years

I love my family. All of them. They are very special people of gentle heart and great wisdom besides their abundant education.

As senior physician Thure von Uexkülls, the founder of psychosomatic medicine, dean, C4 professor, internist and clinical chemist, my father was in constant contact and conflict with ministries, authorities, offices and hospital administrations. He carried the numerous administrative decisions with a good portion of humour, because he always remained in his heart the simple railway son from the Rhön, who loved the true values in life.
During his time in Ulm, he had numerous job-related contacts with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science and Education. Since a man like him was taken seriously with a certain social reputation, correspondence with this Ministry of Attention also led to his formally applying for "Desk animal husbandry of the genus musca domestica" for his office in the Ulm University Clinic. Musca domestica is the Latin name of the housefly, and the authorities took great pains to give the professor a meaningful answer. The correspondence about this is still somewhere in the attic of my mother's house.

Another episode was when my father applied to the university administration for a mirror for his laboratory ladies in the changing room, which was initially rejected as unnecessary expense. He waited for three weeks and then submitted a "human reflector" under the heading "medical equipment", which was approved without complaint, after all this important piece of equipment cost only a few deutschmarks.

Together with his colleagues Ahnefeld and Burri, my father had leased a pond for fishing in the Swabian Alb, where they were repeatedly disturbed by surfers and swimmers while fishing. They kept themselves safe by putting a big sign on a floating canister in the middle of the lake: "Experimental lake of the University of Ulm – bathing and diving on own risk! From then on they could fish in peace.

Just as my father (fraternity L! Hasso-Guestphalia Marburg) impressed me at an early age with his wonderful nature, altruism and great knowledge, other men and women in my family also impressed me. Above all, my grandfather Dr. med. Ludwig Walb (fraternity L! Merowingia Gießen zu Mainz), whose medical work was instrumental in founding the food combining movement in Germany and Europe. The book by him and my grandmother "Die Hay'sche Trenn=Kost" was translated into eight languages and sold in millions. My grandmother's grandmother was a born Ihring from Lich, whose beer still delights some of us today. In their own clinic here in Homberg, my grandparents successfully practiced their medical and holistic knowledge on well over 100,000 patients. My uncle Dr. med. Martin Noelke , https://www.adam3xl.com, also from Homberg, was the first to scientifically explain the effect of food combining via insulin secretion (low insulin levels promote lipolysis), which was previously explained by the scientifically untenable "acid-base balance". My uncle Dr. med. Dieter Walb (fraternity L! Hasso-Guestphalia Marburg) wrote the "nephrologist bible" of the German-speaking countries, "Nephrology", together with Kulmann.
Other family members on my mother's and father's side also work significantly in teaching, care and research.

Study years

It all started when, after my joint A-levels, I enrolled at the humanistic boarding school Institut Lucius in Echzell in the Wetterau region with my brother Rommel II in Giessen to study business administration. My brother passed the Abitur itself as the second best of the class and I followed in fourth place, which was less exciting than it might have seemed at first glance, given the total number of 23 students in the class.

Actually, before I studied business administration, I wanted to do a bank apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and applied there. At the end of the eighties, however, the gentlemen in pinstripes were so convinced of themselves and their social reputation that they didn't think it was necessary to answer at first, at least not to my application - even if it was rejected.

I insisted. A few times, over a few weeks. I had long since ruled out a positive reply, as the official application deadline had passed in the meantime, but I didn't want to make it that easy for them. I would have thought an answer would at least be polite and since I am a Capricorn, I use my horns.

After several letters in which the bank suggested that I should apply at another bank of my choice in my home town, but I wanted to continue to the two towers of "debit and credit" in the Main metropolis, I finally received a letter from the personnel department in which I was informed that there were 1040 applicants for each training place.

I answered only briefly with a sentence: "Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, 1040 may be good - I am better. Yours sincerely".
For two weeks - as I expected - nothing happened. Then a cream-colored handmade paper letter from the top personnel manager of Deutsche Bank with his handwritten ink signature landed in my mailbox, inviting me to a personal interview in his top office because of my "unusual application".

Since I had applied to the ZVS in the meantime for a study place in Giessen for business administration, I answered only briefly, thanking him for the invitation, and announced in a friendly and succinct manner that I now intended to join their institute only at board level. Gießen could come.

On the occasion of my enrolment in our dear Alma Mater I met Sander II, who approached me on the second landing, congratulated me on my enrolment and asked me if I had ever heard of any fraternity. I hesitated because I was not really informed, although my father, grandfather and uncle were compatriots (fraternities L! Merowingia Giessen zu Mainz and Hasso-Guestphalia Marburg) and I also had two uncles in the wider family who were Giessen Hessians fraternity brothers.

Sander literally licked his lips, took down my address and promised to get in touch. At that time I did not yet have any idea where the journey would take me.

Three or four weeks passed, I received various invitations during this time, which I did not take up at first, as I was more interested in my young blossoming love for my girlfriend. But I cancelled the friendly invitation for onion cake and Federweisser by phone and had Klein X on the phone, who thanked me very kindly for at least getting in touch - very few people would do that. The second very friendly impression of Teutonia after the meeting with Sander in the main building. One week later, on a sunny, bright autumn day, I came out of the lecture and spontaneously decided to drive by in Hessenstraße.

In short: The Corpsbrothers were all very, very friendly and we sniffed at each other. I had had positive experiences with all of them without exception and was highly impressed by the Teutonic warmth and naturalness. So I decided to become a fox. The (un)cure took its course.

The time of the fox was exciting, instructive and accompanied by many things. Heaven then sent us my Confux Kemkes, whose legendary horizontal fencing should impress me for many more semesters. Man, we had fun!

In best memory I still remember my first "eightfold" with Klein X, who had the chutzpah to use MY bucket to do the following physical things after the "work" was done and he had won. A circumstance which I found very steep. Eight-gulp.

My natural genetic affinity for yellow drinks made me experience the following semesters in relative exhilaration. This was followed by batches as a secretary, senior on the 149th foundation festival and then on the 150th as well, which we celebrated in the Martinshof (Kommers) and on the Gleiberg (Ball). At that time I did not yet suspect that my ways would later lead me to the central of Kösener Corpsstudents, the eldest student's organization of Europe.

Giessener SC as being head of the KSCV 1992/93
Thoughts and memories

The years have come and gone and I realize that the 27th anniversary of our time as being leading the student's organization is coming up. The Giessen SC was responsible for the last Würzburg Congress in 1992/93, before the congress found its way to Bad Kösen in 1993/94 under the leadership of the Göttingen SC with the presiding fraternity Corps Teutonia-Hercynia under the leadership of leading spokesman Oliver Senger. And this step has now celebrated its 25th anniversary with the 2019 new Giessen head.
Since then, not only the association, but also the world and all our lives have changed.

The heading of Gießen has relinquished its placed his term of office at that time increasingly under the gaze of the public and the stimulation of further, fundamental questions regarding our self-image as Kösener Corps students. For us Giessen Teutons, these tasks were relatively new territory, as we had been rather reserved in our Corps history up to that point in "matters Kösener". Our task as a head was decisively influenced by our task as a leading fraternity - together with the then Munich VAC board of directors under the leadership of Benno Kießel, fraternity Frankoniae Munich with the preparation of the upcoming congress move to Saxony-Anhalt.

To put it briefly: to our positive surprise, we found the numerous meetings of the most diverse committees in the umbrella organisation and other structures to be predominantly positive and saw real benefit in the many discussions between old and young. At that time, in the years of transition, there was a joyful enthusiasm among all participants in view of the tasks ahead.

Those days were marked by the groundbreaking social upheavals that affected the whole of Germany and thus also our organization. Already early in the turning days the thought of a possible soon return to our roots to Bad Kösen and this thought determined also considerably our working as Kösen leading fraternity in the KSCV and VAC.

Luck brought us the circumstance that our fraterinty team at that time consisted of Teutons as well as Normans from Halle, who belonged to the Magdeburg circle with their fraternity corps. The head of Göttingen, which succeeded us in office and hosted the first Kösener Congress in Bad Kösen in 1994 in the post-war period, was under the leadership of the presiding fraternity corps Teutonia-Hercynia with board spokesman Oliver Senger - also a corps of the Magdeburger Kreis. The friendly closeness of common circle affiliation between the Hallenser Normans from Gießen and the Göttingers made the cooperation visibly easier with regard to a soon return to Bad Kösen. Spokesman Senger was an impressive personality, a man of great negotiating skills and a disarming joke ("Mr. Senger, do you actually answer every question with a counter-question?" Senger: "What do you mean?").

As a heading fraternity of Giessen, the way led us Teutons quite often to the new countries, especially to Bad Kösen and the Rudelsburg castle. Like our predecessors in office, the Freiburger SC with the presiding fraternity Corps Rhenania and before that the Frankfurter SC with the presiding fraternity Corps Austria, we Giessener had numerous discussions and held meetings not only in our committees but also with the town of Bad Kösen, hoteliers, the Courageous Knight and many other "officials" to prepare the return of our association to Bad Kösen.

In view of this common goal of KSCV and VAC and ultimately also the town of Bad Kösen, there was a great "we-feeling" among all participants, as I perceived and felt. Corps students of the most different colours worked hand in hand and dedicated themselves with great commitment to the common, unifying thought of holding the conferences at our traditional location again.

A little bon mot at the end of my recollections to describe the atmosphere of those days perhaps a little bit: We all know the "Kösener Raute", which is a big plaque in the courtyard of the Rudelsburg castle on the wall towards the Saale. That rhombus was attached to the wall in a cloak-and-dagger action - secretly and shirt-sleeved - by committed old gentlemen two days before the Rudelsburg castle was listed and is therefore today a fixed part of the Rudelsburg's historic preservation. Honi soit qui mal y pense...

Personally, I am very grateful to heaven that I was part of the event during these eventful days and that I was able to meet so many outstanding Corps students, who still enrich my life today. To my own fraternity Corps, and especially to the enlisted team of that time, I am always connected and grateful in spirit and heart - without the many good spirits who all made their contribution in those days, we would not have been able to get through the perils of the turning days so well.

After years of physical abstinence from the Corps, I was very happy to find my way back to the Corps House for the 180th Foundation Feast in 2019. The cordiality that I received there from old, really dear friends and hopeful "young vegetables", I felt and still feel for myself deep in my heart. The word "Corps BROTHERS" has for us Giessen Teutons a more intensive meaning than is generally lived in other associations, which are usually larger in number.

Present events

It all began with my enrolment in CorpsConnect in the spring of 2019 to make my modest contribution to the humanitarian educational mission of Corpsstudents. At that time I still had ONE computer. In a few weeks, I'll make that a dozen.

When I published the first of my thoughts on current affairs on CorpsConnect, I received harsh opposition from some doctors who had no access to esoteric weirdos. The forum management was advised to put a stop to me.

In a more or less polite private conversation, the head of the platform set up an own group "Secular & Supernatural" for me, where he wanted me to be in good hands.

I then posted a little bit in the main room, which continued with harsh words of the forum leader and the request to delete my posts immediately. I then asked the forum management to delete my account on the platform, which was done after three minutes. They could hardly wait to get rid of me.

In the meantime, close to the "scientific ban" and the muzzling by the Corps students, I published parallel to my German and international homepages also on Twitter. The text about telepathy that I linked there attracted the attention of one of the world's leading and most influential (border) scientific podcasts, who offered me a teaching position at their globally operating university on the Internet and provided the software technical requirements for it.

Simultaneously with the activation of my lecturing position there (which I probably won't take up), the software company of my Internet TV streaming projects (meanwhile I run a Internet TV studio) also integrated me into their Internet university and gave me the status of a creative consultant. This company also provided me with the software and technical requirements to run my internet shop in my webstore (https://www.brahbata.world), whose products are sold worldwide.

The completion of my homepage https://www.brahbata.space made it possible to provide various secular, spiritual and life-related offers of mine in German and English, which can be accessed in the board there in 57 languages so far, including Mandarin, High Japanese and Gaelic; the stream is also integrated next to an archive. The homepage itself, I designed with html, Java, Javascript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Flash and php.

I am expanding the studio offer, but I will probably not take up the teaching positions. I could actually play "cheers" at CorpsConnect, but somehow it's going quite well at the moment. At least that's what my friend Tanya, the British porn star in New York, who was heavily involved in the implementation of my proposal for a world constitution (https://tinyurl.com/voiceofman) and my future 27-year-old wife, US Army Sergeant Angela Mayson, currently stationed in Norway and being under corona quarantine, think so, too.

And CorpsConnect muzzles me. Things happen.

I just added my father's compartiment model, subject of his habilitation thesis and his sign the model of a biochemical computer to my current computer collection. The heading time is a little bit in the past, but still accompanies me intensively in my thoughts until today. The firm belief in freedom, equality and fraternity is what I believe in in the Corps student body and what I believe - let's say - is currently capable of development. Just as my maternal grandfather here in Homberg received the Federal Cross of Merit for the foundation and expansion of the German Red Cross in the Vogelsberg district, I will also dedicate my life to ONE thing:

Peace on Earth.

Rommel I Z! (x)
